Virgo New Moon | Begin Where You Are

Begin Where You Are

The Sacred Art of Tending What Remains

There comes a moment after everything changes when life quietly asks us to participate again.

Not enthusiastically.

Not perfectly.

Not because we have figured out what happened.

Simply because morning arrives.

The dog needs feeding.

The plants need water.

There is laundry somewhere.

An email waits.

The body needs nourishment.

The Sun comes through the window whether we are ready for another day or not.

And perhaps there is something sacred about that.

On September 10, the New Moon arrives at 18° Virgo, bringing us back to the earth after the deep waters of our Pisces Lunar Eclipse.

Our Pisces Sacred Spirit Circle was called:

What Love Cannot Lose.

Its medicine was simple:

I release what I cannot carry.

I keep the love.

And now Virgo looks at what remains in our hands and asks:

What can you tend from here?

Virgo Is More Than Productivity

We tend to reduce Virgo to lists.

Organization.

Routines.

Clean spaces.

Efficiency.

Perfectionism.

But beneath all of that is something much more sacred:

Devotion.

Virgo notices what needs care.

The plant whose leaves are beginning to droop.

The body asking for rest.

The friend who has become unusually quiet.

The detail everyone else missed.

The small task that doesn't look particularly spiritual but somehow keeps life moving.

Virgo reminds us that spirituality doesn't only happen while sitting before an altar.

Sometimes the ritual is making the bed.

Sometimes it is taking the medicine.

Sometimes it is paying the bill.

Sometimes it is eating something nourishing.

Sometimes it is walking outside and allowing the Sun to touch your face.

Sometimes the sacred practice is simply saying:

I am still participating in my life.

You Don't Have to Rebuild Everything

There is enormous pressure in our culture to "bounce back."

To move forward.

To reinvent ourselves.

To turn endings into beginnings and pain into purpose as quickly as possible.

But perhaps beginning again doesn't have to be dramatic.

Maybe you don't need a five-year plan.

Maybe you don't need to know who you are becoming.

Maybe you don't need to transform what happened into wisdom yet.

Perhaps Virgo offers us something much kinder:

Tend what is here.

One room.

One relationship.

One meal.

One appointment.

One creative idea.

One corner of the garden.

One tender human heart.

Not everything.

One thing.

Mercury Enters Libra | A New Conversation

Mercury crosses into Libra on the day of this New Moon.

And after Virgo's analysis, discernment and examination, Libra asks us to consider the quality of our inner conversation.

Listen to the way you speak to yourself when life becomes difficult.

I should be doing more.

I should have figured this out.

I should be further along.

I should be over this by now.

What if those words aren't motivation?

What if they're simply another weight you're carrying?

Mercury in Libra invites another language.

Instead of:

Why aren't you doing better?

Perhaps we ask:

What do you need today?

Words can become another form of tending.

Venus Enters Scorpio | What Matters Now?

Venus also enters Scorpio.

And Scorpio knows that some experiences permanently change the architecture of our hearts.

There are things we live through that create a clear:

before

and

after.

We don't necessarily return to who we were.

And perhaps we aren't supposed to.

Venus in Scorpio asks:

What matters to me now?

You may discover that certain ambitions don't carry the same urgency.

Relationships may look different.

Things you once tolerated may become intolerable.

And ordinary moments you once overlooked may suddenly become precious.

Transformation reorganizes value.

Let it.

Chiron in Taurus | Five Percent Safer

Chiron moving through the earliest degrees of Taurus brings another layer to this New Moon.

Taurus speaks to the body.

Safety.

Worth.

Resources.

The physical ground beneath our feet.

After profound change, our minds can understand something long before our bodies do.

The nervous system may still reach for the old world.

So perhaps we stop demanding that we feel completely safe.

Instead, ask:

What would make this moment five percent safer?

A blanket?

A meal?

Turning off your phone?

Stepping outside?

Holding someone's hand?

Resting?

Five percent counts.

Small acts matter.

Which brings us directly into the medicine of this Moon.

Three Steps to Actualization

I've been thinking about the difference between manifestation and actualization.

Manifestation is often presented as focusing on the reality we desire.

But actualization asks us to participate in bringing something into matter.

Virgo loves matter.

So beneath this New Moon, we're working with three movements:

🌿 TEND

Ask:

What actually deserves my attention?

Not everything demanding your attention deserves it.

What matters?

Notice what quietly raises its hand.

🌱 CHOOSE

Ask:

What is one tangible thing I can do on its behalf?

One phone call.

Ten minutes outside.

One page written.

One boundary.

One drawer cleared.

One meal prepared.

One request for help.

Make the action small enough that you can actually meet it.

✨ EMBODY

And then ask:

How can I give this intention somewhere to live today?

If you're choosing peace, create one peaceful moment.

If you're choosing creativity, make something.

If you're choosing health, tend your body.

If you're choosing love, practice love.

If you're choosing abundance, care for something you already possess.

Don't wait for the future to prove that your intention worked.

Give it somewhere to live now.

Tend.

Choose.

Embody.

That's how the invisible begins entering matter.

Three Seeds

Our ritual for this Sacred Spirit Circle uses three actual seeds.

One for Tend.

One for Choose.

One for Embody.

We place each into the earth and water them.

Nothing spectacular happens immediately.

There are no fireworks.

No instant evidence that our intention "worked."

And isn't that wonderfully Virgo?

Because beneath the surface, something has begun.

The seed doesn't require us to dig it up tomorrow morning to see whether it's manifesting correctly.

😂

We tend it.

We water it.

We give it light.

And we allow becoming to have its own timing.

Maybe humans deserve the same grace.

From Leo to Pisces to Virgo

I didn't intentionally set out to create a trilogy with these recent Sacred Spirit Circles.

But one seems to have created itself.

Leo brought us:

After the Sun Sets.

And reminded us:

The light remains.

Then Pisces carried us into:

What Love Cannot Lose.

And whispered:

The love remains.

Now Virgo meets us on the shoreline.

Not demanding that we leave the ocean behind.

Not asking us to forget what happened there.

Virgo simply places our feet upon the earth and says:

Then tend what remains.

Perhaps this is how we begin again.

Not by erasing the life that came before.

Not by forcing ourselves into a shiny new chapter.

Not by becoming someone new.

But through devotion to what is still here.

One breath.

One choice.

One seed.

One ordinary sacred act at a time.

🌑 Begin Where You Are

If you're entering a new chapter without feeling particularly ready for one, this Sacred Spirit Circle is for you.

You don't have to know what comes next.

You don't need the entire map.

You don't have to repair everything that has been broken.

Begin with what is here.

Ask yourself:

What deserves my devotion now?

Then tend it.

Choose one step.

Give that choice somewhere to live.

And trust that something can begin growing before you can see it.

You can carry everything love has taught you...

and still plant something new.

May your hands remember they can create.

May your body remember it belongs here.

May your heart be given all the time it needs.

Begin where you are.

Tend what matters.

And let that be enough.
