π Scorpio New Moon: The Spiritual Reception Center
Nov 05, 2026
Through the Shaman's Portal | November 9, 2026
Receive the Whisper. Discern the Message. Embody the Wisdom.
What if the guidance you've been seeking isn't waiting somewhere outside of you?
What if it's waiting beneath the noise?
Beneath the expectations.
Beneath the stories you've told yourself about who you should be, what you should know, and where your life should be going.
On November 9, 2026, the Sun and Moon unite at approximately 16°53′ Scorpio, opening a new lunar cycle within one of astrology's most mysterious and transformative signs.
Scorpio invites us into the unseen.
The emotional depths.
The patterns beneath our choices.
The intimate relationship between what we have experienced and what we are becoming.
And at sixteen degrees, this New Moon offers a particularly beautiful symbolic invitation.
In Step Astrology, sixteen reduces to seven.
1 + 6 = 7.
Seven—the spiritual seeker, the contemplative, the inner sanctuary.
What I'm calling The Spiritual Reception Center.
A place where we stop demanding answers and begin making room for wisdom.
A place where the Shaman's Portal becomes not merely a passage into transformation, but a sanctuary of remembrance.
Because sometimes the most profound guidance begins with a simple willingness to listen.
π¦ Scorpio: The Shaman's Portal
Scorpio is associated with transformation, intimacy, emotional truth, shared resources, endings and renewal.
Its symbolism invites us beneath appearances and into the motivations, attachments and patterns shaping our lives.
But transformation doesn't always arrive through dramatic upheaval.
Sometimes it begins with a quiet recognition.
A boundary we finally understand.
A story we're ready to question.
An emotional response we can now meet with compassion.
Or the realization that something we once needed no longer belongs in the life we're cultivating.
Under this Scorpio New Moon, we are invited to ask:
-
What am I ready to understand about myself?
-
Which patterns have been shaping my choices?
-
Where am I seeking certainty instead of practicing discernment?
-
What would it mean to trust my inner wisdom while remaining grounded in the present?
The Shaman's Portal is not a place where we must lose ourselves.
It is a symbolic journey into the depths so we may return to our lives with greater awareness.
π Pluto in Aquarius: Transformation of the Collective and the Self
Scorpio's modern planetary ruler, Pluto, is traveling direct through Aquarius.
Pluto symbolizes transformation, power, control and the deeper forces that shape our experience.
Aquarius brings these themes into conversations about community, belonging, collective systems and the future.
Together, they invite us to examine the structures—both personal and collective—that influence our sense of identity.
Where have we surrendered our authenticity to belong?
Where have we mistaken control for security?
And what patterns are we ready to recognize rather than unconsciously repeat?
Pluto reminds us that meaningful transformation often begins with awareness.
Not every pattern needs to be battled.
Some simply need to be seen clearly enough that we can begin choosing differently.
β‘ Uranus Retrograde in Gemini: The Awakening of Perception
Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, is retrograde in Gemini.
And Uranus forms a harmonious trine with Pluto.
Two outer planets in Air signs.
Transformation meeting communication.
Awakening meeting perception.
The future meeting the stories we tell about our lives.
Uranus in Gemini invites us to question familiar ways of thinking, communicating and interpreting experience.
Perhaps an old belief no longer fits.
Perhaps an experience can be understood through a different lens.
Perhaps the question we've been asking isn't the question that will help us move forward.
What if wisdom arrives when we become willing to see something differently?
The Spiritual Reception Center isn't simply about receiving information.
It's about developing the awareness to recognize what is useful, meaningful and true to our experience.
π₯ Mars and Jupiter in Leo: The Courage to Embody Our Wisdom
Scorpio has two planetary rulers in astrology.
Pluto is its modern ruler.
Mars is its traditional ruler.
And during this New Moon, Mars travels through Leo alongside Jupiter.
This conjunction brings together the symbolism of courage, desire, creative expression and expansion.
Yet Mars and Jupiter also form a wide square to the Scorpio New Moon.
Scorpio invites us inward.
Leo invites us to express ourselves outwardly.
And somewhere between those two impulses lives an important question:
Are we acting from emotional clarity—or reacting to the intensity of the moment?
Not every revelation requires immediate action.
Not every feeling needs to become a decision.
Sometimes wisdom needs time to settle before we can express it authentically.
Mars and Jupiter remind us that insight becomes meaningful when we bring it into the world through conscious choices.
πͺ Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio: Revisiting the Inner Story
Mercury remains retrograde in Scorpio and approaches its direct station on November 13.
Mercury governs communication, interpretation, thought and the ways we organize our experiences into meaning.
In Scorpio, the invitation becomes deeply reflective.
What stories have we carried about ourselves?
What meanings have we assigned to difficult experiences?
What might we understand differently now?
Mercury retrograde can be used symbolically as a period of review rather than a reason to fear miscommunication.
We can revisit our assumptions.
Listen more carefully.
And distinguish between what we know, what we feel and what remains uncertain.
That distinction becomes especially important under this New Moon.
Because spiritual receptivity and discernment belong together.
π Venus Retrograde in Libra: The Heart Remembers Its Values
Venus is also retrograde, traveling through Libra as she approaches her direct station.
And this brings us back to our Libra New Moon Sacred Spirit Circle:
The Art of Choosing Yourself.
Libra invited us to restore harmony without abandoning who we are.
Now Scorpio asks us to explore what those choices mean beneath the surface.
What does love feel like when we honor our boundaries?
What does intimacy look like when we allow ourselves to be honest?
What relationships and commitments genuinely reflect our values?
Venus retrograde invites reflection upon reciprocity, beauty, worth and connection.
And Scorpio reminds us that emotional honesty is essential to meaningful intimacy.
We can love deeply and still have boundaries.
We can honor our relationships without abandoning ourselves.
And we can allow our values to evolve.
π Neptune in Aries: Wonder and Discernment
One of the more intriguing aspects of this New Moon is its close 135-degree relationship with Neptune retrograde in Aries.
Neptune symbolizes dreams, imagination, spiritual longing and the mysterious dimensions of experience.
Aries brings questions of identity, courage and personal direction.
This combination invites us to explore the difference between intuition, hope, imagination and certainty.
Not every thought is a message.
Not every feeling predicts an outcome.
And not every mystery requires an explanation.
We can honor symbolic experiences without needing to interpret them literally.
We can remain open to insight while exercising judgment.
The Spiritual Reception Center is not a place where we abandon discernment. It is where we deepen it.
π The Seven Chambers of the Spiritual Reception Center
For this Scorpio New Moon, our Sacred Spirit Circle meditation becomes a journey through seven symbolic chambers beneath the Shaman's Portal.
Each chamber offers an invitation into remembrance.
1. Presence — Meeting ourselves exactly as we are.
2. Feeling — Honoring our emotional truth without judgment.
3. Recognition — Becoming aware of familiar patterns.
4. Discernment — Distinguishing what we know, feel, imagine and have yet to understand.
5. Reception — Entering stillness and becoming receptive to insight.
6. Integration — Bringing our reflections into everyday life.
7. Remembrance — Returning to ourselves with compassion.
At the heart of the journey is the fifth chamber.
The Spiritual Reception Center.
A quiet sanctuary where we bring one question into our awareness.
Not to demand an answer.
But to create space for reflection.
Sometimes we receive an image, a memory, a word or a feeling.
Sometimes we receive nothing at all.
And sometimes stillness itself is enough.
π§ Scorpio New Moon Ritual: The Seven Drops of Remembrance
For our ritual, gather a small bowl of water, a candle, a stone and your journal.
All items are optional; you may also participate through visualization.
Water represents Scorpio's emotional depths.
The candle represents conscious awareness.
The stone represents grounding and discernment.
And seven represents our symbolic Spiritual Reception Center.
Place seven drops of water into your bowl, dedicating each one to a sacred intention:
-
I welcome presence.
-
I honor my feelings.
-
I recognize my patterns.
-
I practice discernment.
-
I become receptive to wisdom.
-
I integrate what I understand.
-
I remember who I am.
Then ask yourself:
What is one intention I can carry into this new lunar cycle?
Allow your answer to be compassionate, practical and meaningful.
Write it down.
And remember that an intention doesn't need to change your entire life overnight.
One conscious choice is enough to begin.
π Natal Moon Medicine: Twelve Pathways of Remembrance
Our Ritual Meditation for the Soul also includes personal Moon Medicine for all twelve Natal Moon signs.
Each sign offers a different perspective on emotional patterns, spiritual receptivity, boundaries and the wisdom of the inner world.
Whether your Natal Moon is in Pisces, Aries, Taurus or any of the other signs, you'll receive an invitation to reflect upon how this Scorpio New Moon may symbolically illuminate your emotional nature.
Listen for your Natal Moon first.
Then allow whichever remembrance resonates to become part of your journey.
π Receive the Whisper. Discern the Message. Embody the Wisdom.
The Scorpio New Moon reminds us that the unseen is not necessarily something to fear.
Sometimes it represents the parts of ourselves we have not yet explored.
The questions we haven't given ourselves permission to ask.
The emotions we haven't fully acknowledged.
And the wisdom that may emerge when we stop demanding certainty.
Beautiful soul…
You do not need every answer.
You do not need to understand every experience.
And you do not need to force transformation.
You are allowed to be curious.
To listen.
To question.
To rest.
And to begin again.
Receive the whisper.
Discern the message.
Embody the wisdom.
And remember…
You are not here to become someone new. You are here to remember who you've always been.
