Heart → Throat → Shaman's Portal → Voice of the Soul

There are seasons that ask us to begin.

Seasons that ask us to release.

Seasons that ask us to tend what has been entrusted to us.

And then there are seasons that bring us to the crossroads and ask:

What will you choose now?

Welcome to Libra Season.

As the Sun enters Libra, we arrive at the Equinox — the threshold where light and darkness meet.

Neither wins.

Neither disappears.

For a moment, they stand in relationship with one another.

Perhaps this is our first remembrance of Libra Season:

Balance is not sameness.

Balance is relationship.

 

Beyond Keeping the Peace

Libra is often associated with harmony, partnership, beauty, diplomacy, and balance.

But there is a shadow hiding within our pursuit of harmony.

Sometimes we keep the peace by silencing ourselves.

Sometimes we maintain relationships by abandoning our own needs.

Sometimes we become so skilled at considering everyone else's perspective that we lose contact with our own.

And so Libra Season presents us with a deeper question:

Are you included in the harmony you are creating?

Because peace that requires your disappearance isn't really peace.

 

Venus Enters the Underworld

Libra's ruler, Venus, begins this season traveling through Scorpio at 6° — the Venus degree within Christopher Witecki's Step Astrology system I work with.

This isn't Venus interested only in beauty, attraction, and pleasure.

This is Venus in the underworld.

She wants intimacy with truth.

She asks:

What do you actually value now?

Not what you were taught to value.

Not what keeps everyone comfortable.

Not what you once valued because it belonged to an earlier version of you.

What matters now?

Scorpio strips away superficiality.

Libra asks us to choose.

Together they create an extraordinary invitation:

Choose from what is true.

But Venus isn't the only place where her signature appears as we enter this season.

Because the Moon has put her jewelry on, too. 🌙✨

 

The Aquarius Moon — Choose Freely

As Libra Season begins, the Moon is at 15° Aquarius.

Another current of Air meets the Libra Sun.

Libra brings relationship.

Aquarius brings liberation.

And 15 carries another beautiful numerical echo:

1 + 5 = 6.

Within the Step Astrology system I work with, we arrive once again at the Venus degree.

🌹 Venus at 6° Scorpio.

🌙 Moon at 15° Aquarius → 6.

Two placements.

Two different expressions.

One repeating Venusian resonance woven through the threshold of Libra Season.

And perhaps Venus is asking us to look more deeply at what love actually means.

Because love isn't always agreement.

Love isn't conformity.

Love isn't keeping everyone comfortable.

And belonging that requires us to become someone we are not isn't really belonging.

The Aquarius Moon offers enough distance to notice the voices we've mistaken for our own.

The expectations.

The conditioning.

The roles we've learned to play.

The agreements we made before we knew ourselves differently.

The definitions of beauty, love, relationship, and belonging we've inherited from others.

And Aquarius asks:

What if you were free to choose again?

Libra asks us to choose.

Aquarius asks us to choose freely.

Venus in Scorpio asks us to choose truthfully.

And suddenly Libra's scales become something entirely different.

They are no longer measuring your needs against everyone else's.

They are measuring resonance.

 

From the Heart to the Throat

Within this Sacred Spirit Circle, our energetic journey begins within the Heart Center.

The heart knows love.

It knows grief.

It knows longing.

It knows belonging.

It knows what matters before the mind has created language around it.

But knowing is not the end of the journey.

What the heart knows must eventually meet the Throat Center.

Love meets voice.

Feeling meets vibration.

Knowing meets expression.

Yet during this Libra Season Circle, we travel farther.

Because the Throat Center is not merely a destination.

It is a threshold.

 

Entering the Shaman's Portal

Beyond the Throat Center lies what I call the Shaman's Portal — the place where expression begins to become transmission.

Expression says:

This is what I think.
This is what I feel.

But the Voice of the Soul says:

This is what I know.

We enter the portal through resonance rather than force.

And there we ask one of the central questions of this Libra Season:

If my soul could speak without fear of disappointing anyone... what would it say?

Maybe the answer is yes.

Maybe it is no.

Maybe it is enough.

Maybe it is stay.

Maybe it is go.

Maybe the answer isn't language at all.

It may arrive as sensation.

An image.

A knowing.

A silence that suddenly feels clearer than all the noise surrounding it.

Because even silence has a voice.

And perhaps this is where Aquarius becomes important again.

Aquarius reminds us that the Voice of the Soul may not sound like the voices around us.

It may disrupt an old pattern.

Question an inherited expectation.

Or invite us onto a path nobody else quite understands.

The work is not to make that voice acceptable.

The work is to recognize it as our own.

 

The Sacred Art of Choosing

Libra reminds us that every choice creates relationship.

When we say yes to one thing, we enter relationship with it.

When we say no, we protect space for something else.

A boundary can therefore be an act of love.

Discernment can be devotion.

And choosing ourselves does not necessarily mean rejecting another.

Sometimes it simply means refusing to disappear from the equation.

So this season, rather than asking:

How do I keep everything balanced?

Try asking:

What choice allows me to remain in relationship with my own soul?

And then listen.

❤️ My heart remembers.

🩵 My voice reveals.

🌀 My soul chooses.

 

⚖️ Libra Season Ritual

The Sacred Scales

This ritual is an invitation to move beyond maintaining balance and into choosing from alignment.

 

You Will Need

🕯️ Two candles
📄 Two small pieces of paper
🌹 A rose, flower, petal, or beautiful object
🥣 A small bowl of water

 

Place one candle to your left and one to your right.

Place the bowl of water between them, creating your own sacred scales.

Let the flower or beautiful object represent Venus — beauty, value, love, and what is precious to you.

Take a breath.

Place your hand over your heart and ask:

What am I giving my energy to?

Write your answer on the first piece of paper.

Then become quiet again.

Ask:

What deserves my energy now?

Write your answer on the second.

Do not judge the difference between the two.

Do not immediately try to change anything.

Simply witness what your soul has shown you.

 

Light the First Candle

Say:

I honor what has brought me here.

Allow yourself to acknowledge the choices, relationships, agreements, and versions of yourself that have carried you to this moment.

They do not need to be rejected in order for something new to be chosen.

 

Light the Second Candle

Say:

I choose what carries me forward.

Place your flower or sacred object beside this candle.

Let it represent what you now value enough to choose consciously.

Heart → Throat → Portal

Dip your fingertips gently into the water.

Touch your heart.

Say:

May my heart know.

Touch your throat.

Say:

May my voice honor what I know.

Then close your eyes and imagine the Shaman's Portal opening beyond the Throat Center.

Ask:

If my soul could speak without fear of disappointing anyone... what would it say?

Listen.

Do not force an answer.

Allow the Voice of the Soul to arrive through words, sensation, image, silence, or knowing.

Then speak:

My heart remembers.
My voice reveals.
My soul chooses.

Finally, say:

I release harmony that requires my self-abandonment.

I welcome relationships rooted in truth, reciprocity, beauty, and respect.

I choose what honors what matters.

Sit quietly between the two candles.

Notice the difference between trying to keep everything balanced...

and becoming aligned.

When you are ready, extinguish the candles with gratitude.

Keep the second piece of paper somewhere you will encounter it during Libra Season.

Let it become your reminder:

Choose what honors what matters.

And the Voice of the Soul asks us to recognize who is choosing.

Virgo taught us:

Tend what matters.

Libra now whispers:

Choose what honors it.

Until we gather again...

Walk gently.

Love deeply.

Trust the rhythm of the seasons.
